 Commercial Lines Producer

This position is sales-oriented position and requires advanced communication skills, a thorough knowledge of insurance products available through the agency. The individual in this position must be capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing commercial lines accounts and retaining assigned book of commercial lines business.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan.
  • Prospect for new business from existing clients and identified target groups.
  • Contact prospects for the purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments.
  • Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products and records.
  • Maintain organization of prospect and client details through CRM software “Monday”.
  • Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history.
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information.
  • Work with Marketing Dept. to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets.
  • Conduct client and prospect appointments communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details and communicating desire to conduct business.
  • Introduce service person to clients and forward all service-related calls to assigned service person.
  • Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required.
  • Participate in renewals, when appropriate, by reviewing expiration listing with service person to determine appropriate action and gather renewal information to prepare renewal submissions.
  • Maintain production reports and attend all sales meetings as required.
  • Promote agency and insurance industry in the community.
  • Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to pursue and close sales.
  • Make cold calls, join associations, and foster relationships with intent to build a book of business.
  • Three or more years of experience in sales preferred but not required.

  • Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to stay organized.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between AM’s & Marketing to achieve the best service for new business and existing clients/relationships.

Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Assistant to an Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the account manager with managing the day-to-day activities of a portfolio of clients, including providing customer service, handling renewals, preparing submissions for renewal business, and reviewing quotes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Manage renewal accounts and ensure that all customer service needs are met.
  • Reviewing applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
  • Collect premiums and email policies and endorsements.
  • Work directly with carriers/brokers to provide them with any information needed on renewals and/ or changes being made to policy.
  • Prepare Auto ID cards, check on payments for policies in cancellation status.

License/Certification:

Property & Casualty License (Preferred)
