After 27 years at J.R. Prewitt, Linda’s favorite place to be in Birmingham remains the office on Highland Avenue. She strives to always be there for her fellow employees when they need guidance. Q: How did you get into the insurance industry?
A: I moved to Birmingham in 1980 and accepted a job with St. Paul Insurance Company. I worked on the company side for 9 years and moved to the agency side in 1989.
Q: What’s your favorite part about working for J.R. Prewitt?
A: Everyone here is my family away from home. J.R. Prewitt offers a great atmosphere filled by really great people.
Q: Who is your biggest role model?
A: Jack Prewitt, the founder of the agency. He has been a great mentor and always encouraged me to think outside the box. He has taught me that there is a solution to every problem.
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: Never stop trying. Always strive to learn something new every day.
Q: What are three words that describe you?
A: Loyal. Selfless. Caring.
Q: What’s something most people would be surprised to learn about you?
A: That I don’t believe in myself enough.
Q: Favorite quote?
A: “It’s all about karma.”
Q: Favorite travel spot/vacation?
A: Anywhere with my husband. He is my best friend ever.
Q: Hobbies?
A: Reading and taking care of my family.
Q: Anything you want to add about family, pets or personal life?
A: I have a very close relationship with my family. I have been blessed with my husband, my 2 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. My cup is full. ????
